JoinEarthGreen's Mission is to expand the availability of zero emission lawn care services. We will do this by continuing the success we had in the 2007 season by offering mow service directly, and also by offering a Certification process to those interested in starting their own JoinEarthGreen™ Certified Mow Service. This certification will be offered for a small yearly fee which will include all of the training and support needed to be successful. Most importantly, all JoinEarthGreen™ Certified Members will have their mowing success included in the pollution savings tally that shows on our website.
Blake and Brandon founded this business in 2007 as a result of their pursuit in the Boy Scout program. As most scouts know, the Entrepreneurship Merit Badge is one of the most difficult to achieve.
To their credit, they had the drive to go about this merit badge with a bigger vision, and saw an opportunity to make the kind of money most teenage boys desperately want, and need.
The best part of it was how well this business was received. They were able to quickly build up some successful mow routes and built a fantastic reputation with customers that they now consider friends.
The final tally was that through their hard work and efforts in '07 they were able to displace approximately 22,000 car miles worth of pollution from being put into the atmosphere. They consider this their greatest success and have set a goal to beat this not only through their own mowing efforts, but by offering this great "green" business opportunity to others.
